Maxwell Schapiro (22) first discovered his love for acting on accident. As a child through adolescence he was consumed by playing make believe. His commitment to imagined narratives would go as far as - creating a sports team, playing the games as a player, running the practices as the coach - and even playing out the interviews following each “game.” (All within the confines of his families living room)

This burning desire to live out a fantasy in detail led him to try improv classes in high school. They were exhilarating, and his teacher recommended he pursue acting further than just improvisation.

Opting away from the Drama School route, he saved some cash as a bartender and moved to NYC at 20. His time here has been spent studying the craft through intensive private training combined with deep reading on the various acting philosophies. In addition, his time working in the nightlife industry inspired a teleplay which currently has a completed pilot draft and season 1 outline.

Having now put his talent to work in short films and indies, he’s ready to challenge his skillset and collaborate with creatives working at the highest level!
